What firewood costs, by state
These prices come from supplier websites, not surveys. 218 suppliers post a price we could convert to a full cord (128 cubic feet). Across all of them, the typical range is $275 to $800, and the middle price is $432.
Kiln dried wood costs more: its middle listed price is $529 per cord across 53 suppliers, compared with $440 for seasoned wood across 161.
How we got these numbers: half cords, quarter cords and face cords with a stated piece length are converted to a full cord price. Loads, racks and truckloads without a stated size are left out, because converting them would mean guessing. Delivery and stacking are usually extra.
